A fire in an Alcorcón garage disrupts neighbourhood life and causes material damage
The afternoon in Alcorcón was disrupted by a fire in the garage of a residential building on Sierra de Albarracín street. The blaze, located on the fourth basement level, required a large-scale response and produced thick smoke that affected access routes and residents’ daily routines.
The Alcorcón City Council Fire Brigade acted quickly to bring the flames under control and ventilate the space. The intervention prevented the fire from spreading to other areas of the building, although three vehicles were damaged by the blaze.
Despite the scale of the incident, no injuries were reported among either residents or emergency crews. The operation focused on securing the area and reducing the build-up of smoke in a space that is especially sensitive because of its underground location.
