Sant Gervasi hosts a market in a home with unique pieces and free entry
This weekend, a different plan emerges in Sant Gervasi: a private home on Carrer de Calvet becomes an ephemeral market where every object seeks a second life.
The initiative is run by Pompina Home Reborn, which proposes a different way of managing house moves. For three days, from 27 to 29 March, the house becomes a showroom open to the public, with furniture, lamps and hard-to-find historic pieces.
Admission is free and visitors can walk through the rooms as if it were an exhibition. They can buy directly on site, both with cash and by card, in an experience that combines a market, a home and an urban gallery.
Opening hours will be extensive: Friday and Saturday from 10:00 to 20:00, and Sunday from 10:00 to 15:00. In addition, any objects that are not sold will be donated to non-profit organisations, strengthening the proposal’s charitable element.
Initiatives of this kind reflect a growing trend: reusing, reducing waste and opting for more conscious consumption. Pop-up markets in residential spaces not only offer unique pieces, but also bring neighbours and visitors together around new ways of understanding the city.
