Cobeña strengthens security with a new fire station underway
Construction of the Cobeña fire station has already begun. More than 200,000 residents across nine municipalities will benefit from improved emergency response. The service will be operational from 2027 and represents progress in local protection.
The infrastructure will serve nine municipalities, including Paracuellos de Jarama, Algete and Daganzo de Arriba, improving emergency response times.
Regional government officials attended the start of the works and highlighted the importance of this project as part of strengthening the emergency services network in the Community of Madrid.
In addition, the plan includes the opening of other Cobeña fire stations in municipalities such as Loeches and Torrejón de Ardoz, with a total investment of 27 million euros.
The growth of Madrid's outskirts in recent years has brought to the fore the need to adapt public services to a growing population.
