Palacio de Santa Bárbara becomes a creative market to welcome spring

Mercado del Encanto returns to Palacio de Santa Bárbara. More than 30 exhibitors of art, fashion and design fill the space with original proposals. Free entry and a spring atmosphere for those looking for different plans in Madrid.

The Palacio de Santa Bárbara (calle de Hortaleza) is transformed this weekend into the setting for Mercado del Encanto: three days filled with more than 30 exhibitors of art, fashion, design and contemporary crafts, with unique pieces, original creations and emerging brands committed to quality and distinction.

The plan invites visitors to stroll unhurriedly through the historic rooms, refresh the home with spring details, discover local talent and enjoy a terrace with a gastronomic offering in the sun. As an extra: a draw for a basket of exhibitors’ products.

Timetable and access:

Friday: 17:00–21:00

Saturday: 11:30–21:00

Sunday: 11:30–20:00

Free entry

The Palacio de Santa Bárbara, a jewel little visited inside, is establishing itself as a perfect space for ephemeral markets and street-level culture, recovering historic buildings for Madrid’s everyday life.

This market is not just shopping: it brings a breath of spring to the centre, energises Hortaleza and the Justicia neighbourhood, boosts local commerce and independent brands, and turns a historic palace into an accessible, free meeting point. In a city that lives in the street, this kind of ephemeral event enriches weekend leisure, encourages support for Spanish design and offers a different plan for switching off, browsing and feeling how Madrid changes season.
