Valdezarza will introduce regulated parking from 1 October

The extension includes 689 green spaces, intended above all for residents with authorisation, and 12 blue spaces, intended for vehicle turnover. According to Madrid City Council, this measure is intended to improve mobility in the area, reduce traffic from cars circulating in search of parking and guarantee free spaces for residents.

The new spaces will be distributed on key streets in the neighbourhood, such as Antonio Machado, Villaamil, Valle de Anso and Sinesio Delgado. With this addition, Valdezarza will have 2,421 regulated spaces, mostly for preferential use by residents.

Residents wishing to park in green zones must first apply for their resident permit, at an annual cost of 24.60 euros. Vehicles with the Zero Emissions label will be exempt from payment and ECO vehicles will receive discounts, while cars with the B badge will pay a surcharge. The SER will operate from Monday to Friday until 21:00 and on Saturdays until 15:00, with no charge on Sundays and public holidays.
