Sala Montjuïc returns to Montjuïc Castle with 16 nights of cinema and live music this summer
From 10 July to 5 August, Barcelona welcomes back the Sala Montjuïc series at the Fossat de Santa Eulàlia, with sixteen open-air cinema sessions, concerts beforehand and tickets already on sale for one of the summer’s best-loved cultural events.

This summer, Barcelona recovers one of its most eagerly awaited plans: the return of Sala Montjuïc to Fossat de Santa Eulàlia. After an edition away from its usual setting, the emblematic open-air cinema series will once again bring Castillo de Montjuïc to life between 10 July and 5 August 2026. The proposal combines great classics and contemporary titles in original version with subtitles, accompanied by live music and privileged views of the city.
This year’s programme includes sixteen unique nights, each with a different film and a preceding concert to set the mood for the evening. From the gates opening at 20.15, attendees can settle on the grass or sun loungers, enjoy a picnic and be carried along by the live music, which starts at 20.45. At 22:00, the screen takes centre stage with titles such as "Flores para Antonio", "Fargo", "Thelma y Louise" or the eagerly awaited "Película sorpresa" at the close.
The 2026 line-up stands out for its variety: themed nights such as Noche GREC, anniversaries of iconic films and a carefully selected range of musical artists accompanying each session. Confirmed groups include Acorde a Ti, Acoustic Guiri, Los Stompers, Belén Natalí, Maria Pasqual Quartet, Cheap Bliss, Muniats, La Golden Beat, Pierre-Arnaud, Bossa Nova Revisited, Gensound, Mr Shingles, Sara Aldana y Suitcase Brothers, as well as some surprise still to be announced.
Tickets are already available online and tend to sell out quickly. Prices range from 9 to 12 euros, depending on the area chosen.
