Denmark's capital has been crowned the happiest city on the planet, according to the sixth edition of the Happy City Index.
With 1,039 points and a gold medal, Copenhagen takes the top spot thanks to its balance of wellbeing, innovation and quality of life.
This international ranking assesses urban centres according to criteria such as health, the economy, the environment, mobility, citizenship and governance. And if there is one place where these elements coexist in harmony, it is Copenhagen.
Beyond its Scandinavian architecture and Nordic cuisine, what makes the difference in this city is its people.
